Finance Intern (graduate)

The Role:

As the Finance Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial analysis and reporting needs. Reporting to the Finance Manager and CFO, you will monitor key financial metrics, contribute to business metric reporting, and provide insightful analysis to assist in decision making for senior management across the organization. This will be a 6 month internship (October - April). The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual, eager to collaborate and grow in a dynamic team environment. The hours are flexible but the ideal candidate would be willing to work 20-25 hours per week.      

What You Will Do:

• Financial Planning and Analysis:
  • Analyze financial performance and identify trends.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis for senior management.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and forecasts, providing variance analysis and actionable recommendations.
• SaaS Metrics and Reporting:

  • Maintain key SaaS metrics, such as MRR, ARR, churn, etc.

  • Deliver regular reports and dashboards for executive management and financial sponsors to track financial performance and key business drivers.

What You Bring:

• Current Graduate Student in a Business Program (MBA or Finance)

• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.

• Experience in financial modeling and data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, etc.).

• Strong business analytical abilities and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.

• Teamwork and collaborative skills.

 Bonus Points If You Have:

• Have a degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related fields

• Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis in a Software as a Service company

• Proficiency in data query language such as SQL or R

Extensiv strives to provide competitive market-informed compensation based on a candidate's knowledge, skills, and experience. The hourly range for this position is $20 -$24. Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.
