Phillip Vanlandingham, Ph.D.

Vice President of Translational Research at EyeCRO

Phillip Vanlandingham, Ph.D. has a long and varied work experience. In 1998, they began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Tennessee. Phillip then moved to the Lynn Healthcare Research Institute in 2003 as a Research Assistant. In 2004, they began working at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center as a Graduate Research Assistant, and in 2009, they became a Post-doctoral Research Associate at the University of Oklahoma. Their roles included identifying the mechanism of synaptic vesicle retrieval, developing multiple techniques, and preparing manuscripts and grants. In 2012, they joined Charlesson as a Senior Scientist/Medical Writer, with responsibilities including study design and scheduling, data acquisition and technical troubleshooting, and preparation of SOPs and contract project reports. In 2017, they became the Director of Translational Research at EyeCRO, and in 2020, they were promoted to Vice President of Translational Research.

Phillip Vanlandingham, Ph.D. received their Ph.D. in Cell Biology from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a BS from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1999.
