Matt Cooper

Matt Cooper is the Head of Data & Platform at ezyVET. Prior to joining ezyVET, Matt served as the Chief Technology Officer at Common Ledger from March 2015 to October 2017.

At Common Ledger, Matt was tasked with leading the technical aspects of the company. During their time in the role, they took the infrastructure from a manually provisioned static sized deployment to a fully dynamic, auto scaling and auto healing deployment, giving the company the ability to scale the number of customers and data in a much easier and more cost effective way.

Some of Matt's key achievements during their time at Common Ledger include implementing extensive testing suites across multiple codebases (Mocha/PHPUnit), continuous deployment (Gitlab pipelines deploying via a custom deploy tool called via AWS SSM), and infrastructure/configuration as code (Using Terraform, Packer, Chef). Matt also successfully migrated infrastructure and data from IBM Softlayer to AWS, as well as all PHP code from 5.5 to 7.1. Additionally, they redesigned and rolled out a backwards compatible PHP based API that was 10x faster and 100x more scalable on the same hardware.

They work with Paul Norrie - Product Strategy Director, Glen Jones - Head of Sales, and Marcus Atkins - Chief Delivery Officer. Their manager is Hadleigh Bognuda, CEO & Founder.
