Kate Davies

Kate Davies has extensive work experience in the legal field. Kate is currently serving as the General Counsel at Fable Data since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Partner and General Counsel at Pogust Goodhead from May 2021 to September 2022.

From 2014 to 2021, Kate held various roles at the Financial Reporting Council (FRC), including Director of Legal Services from September 2020 to May 2021, Acting General Counsel from March 2020 to September 2020, and Deputy General Counsel & Data Protection Officer from April 2014 to March 2020. During their time at FRC, they provided legal advice to non-executives, senior executives, and staff on various matters, including legal status, roles, and responsibilities. Kate also played a crucial role in contract drafting, policy development, and project implementation.

Prior to joining FRC, Kate worked as a Senior Associate at Reed Smith LLP from April 2008 to April 2014. Kate also gained experience working as a Secondee Lawyer at BBC from March 2012 to February 2013. Early in their career, they worked as a Solicitor at Robin Simon LLP from July 2007 to March 2008 and at Wragge & Co LLP from September 2002 to April 2007.

Throughout their career, Kate has demonstrated a strong command of legal matters and has a wealth of experience in advising organizations on a wide range of legal issues.

Kate Davies attended Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd from 1997 to 2001, where they earned a degree in Law and French. In 1999, they had the opportunity to study Law at Université de Picardie Jules Verne in Amiens, although the degree name is not specified. Kate later pursued the LPC (Legal Practice Course) from 2001 to 2002 at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd.
