Janelle Gale is the current Vice President of Human Resources at Meta. Janelle has over fifteen years of experience in Human Resources, including roles at Levi Strauss & Co. and IBM Business Consulting Services (formerly PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP).
Janelle began their career at IBM Business Consulting Services in 1998 as a consultant. In this role, they advised global Fortune 500 companies on strategic organization topics such as organization design, change management, and program office teams. In 2001, Janelle was promoted to Principal Consultant and oversaw the implementation of new compensation, talent acquisition, and learning and development processes and programs.
In 2003, Janelle left IBM to join Levi Strauss & Co. as a Senior Director of Human Resources for the Levi's Brand. In this role, they were responsible for setting and executing the talent and organization strategy and annual plans for the global Levi's brand with employees in 5 international locations. Janelle also served as a Senior Director of Human Resources for the Breakthrough Strategy Team from 2009 to 2010 before being promoted to Acting Vice President of Human Resources for the Levi's Brand in 2010. Janelle remained in this role until 2012 when they left Levi Strauss & Co. to join Meta as their Vice President of Human Resources.
Janelle Gale completed their B.S. in Psychology at the University of Southern California and their Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology.
Their manager is Lori Goler, Head of People. They work with Miranda Kalinowski - Global Head of Recruitment, Maxine Williams - Chief Diversity Officer.
