Maura McCarthy

Maura McCarthy has extensive work experience in the non-profit sector. Maura served as the Chief Executive Officer at Fairmount Park Conservancy from November 2019 to the present. Prior to that, they were the Executive Director at Friends of the Wissahickon from October 2005 to November 2019. Maura also worked as a Development Associate at the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility from March 2004 to October 2005.

Maura McCarthy earned a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Oxford from 1998 to 2003. Prior to that, they obtained a BA in Anthropology from New York University, which they attended from 1992 to 1996.
