Anne Fox

Interim Medical Director, Inpatient Services & Transitional Care at Family Care Network

Anne Fox grew up in Massachusetts playing ice hockey, skiing and enjoying summers at the beach with my six sisters and one brother. Anne received a biology degree from St. Michael’s College in beautiful Vermont and then worked for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health for several years before returning to medical school at the University of Massachusetts. After completing residency at National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, she moved to Whidbey Island, compliments of the US Navy.

During her time at Naval Hospital Oak Harbor, she fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and developed a passion for global health research. In 2016, after spending multiple years working as a hospitalist, she moved to Ghana to conduct clinical infectious disease research for the Naval Medical Research Unit in Accra. While there, she researched acute febrile illnesses, sepsis, malaria, antibiotic resistance and leishmaniasis.

Anne returned to the U.S. in May 2019 and is thrilled to be working as a hospitalist again. When not working, she enjoys hiking, horseback riding, and spending time with her husband, two children and two dogs.
