Carrie Jeffries, DNP, MPH, ANP-BC, NEA-BC, FACHE, AACRN has an extensive work experience in the field of nursing and public health. Carrie is currently serving as the Ambulatory System Chief Nursing Officer/System Vice President of Health Centers Operations at FamilyCare Health Centers (WV), a position they have held since July 2023. Prior to this, they worked at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Inspector General as an Associate Director, leading efforts to increase quality of care for veterans. Carrie also served as the Chief Nursing Officer at the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSAgov), where they led a team supporting the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program. Carrie Jeffries, DNP, MPH, ANP-BC, NEA-BC, FACHE, AACRN has an extensive education history. Carrie obtained a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in Executive Healthcare Leadership from The George Washington University in 2019. In 2003, they completed a Master of Public Health degree in International Public Health/International Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science degree in Adult Nurse Practitioner from the University of California, San Francisco in 2001, with a minor in Adult Education. Carrie also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the Jewish Hospital College of Nursing and Allied Health, which they completed in 1995 after first obtaining their Associate Degree in Nursing from the same institution in 1994.

In addition to their education, Carrie Jeffries has obtained several certifications. Carrie became a Nurse Executive, Advanced (NEA-BC) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center in September 2016. Carrie also holds the title of Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) since 2016. Furthermore, they have been certified as an American Academy of HIV Medicine HIV Specialist (AAHIVS) since December 2004 and as an Advanced HIV/AIDS Certified Registered Nurse (AACRN) since November 2002. Carrie is also a Board-Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP-BC) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Additionally, Carrie has achieved a Certificate in Executive Leadership from Cornell University and a Certified Project Officer designation from the U.S. Government, Department of Health & Human Services, HRSA. Carrie is licensed as both an Adult Nurse Practitioner (NP) and a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Virginia Department of Health, Board of Nursing. Finally, Carrie holds a United States Department of Health and Human Services Supervisor Certification.
