Melyssa I. has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Melyssa started their career in 2000 as a Marketing Coordinator and Assistant Purchasing Manager at PT. Sumber Cahaya Mas. Melyssa then worked as a Logistic Manager at PD. Indo Kurnia Abadi in 2008. In 2009, they became an Assistant Merchandise Manager at PT. Lotte Shopping Indonesia, where they conducted market research, handled product assortment, and led marketing campaigns. Melyssa subsequently worked as a Purchasing Manager at PT. Erajaya Swasembada, where they procured services, managed marketing projects, and negotiated leases. From 2012 to 2015, they held management positions at PT Hero Supermarket Tbk, including GM HR Operation, GM Marketing Giant Hypermarket & Supermarket, and Office & Internal Communication Manager. Melyssa'smost recent position was as the Head of Human Resources at FamilyMart Indonesia, where they managed a team of subordinates and handled recruitment, talent management, and facilities management services to drive business success.

Melyssa I. obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computerized Accounting from BINUS University, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Prior to their university education, they completed their high school education at Kanaan Senior High School, specializing in Social Sciences. In addition to their academic qualifications, they also obtained a certification in Food Safety Management from The American National Standards Institute (ANSI)- Food Protection in November 2015.
