Nancy Jardini is Fannie Mae's Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer. Reporting to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, Ms. Jardini is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the company's compliance and ethics organization, including managing legal and regulatory compliance; developing and promoting the Code of Conduct; investigating allegations of misconduct; providing oversight for corporate Anti-Fraud, Mortgage Fraud, and Privacy programs; and managing Fannie Mae's regulatory relationships.
Prior to joining Fannie Mae in February 2007, Ms. Jardini was the Chief of Criminal Investigation at the Internal Revenue Service, where she directed staff worldwide, including special agents who investigated criminal tax violations, Bank Secrecy Act violations, money laundering, and other financial crimes. In this capacity, she partnered with the United States Department of Justice in the prosecution of these offenses. Ms. Jardini had extensive interaction with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, and testified in Congress on topics related to general enforcement policy and legislative proposals.
Previously, Ms. Jardini was a Federal Prosecutor who specialized in the investigation and prosecution of large-scale corporate financial crime.
Ms. Jardini has a juris doctor from the Villanova University School of Law, and a bachelor of arts in history and Spanish from Chatham College.
