Dr. Gowri Shankar Krishnan (He/Him)

Dr. Gowri Shankar Krishnan has a diverse work experience in the field of biosciences and research. Dr. Gowri Shankar is currently employed at Farcast Biosciences as a Scientist since March 2021.

Prior to their current role, Dr. Krishnan worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Farcast Biosciences from August 2018 to April 2020. During this time, they led multiple projects focusing on Ex-vivo Co-culture in human tumor tissues and Immune cells for various cancer indications. Dr. Gowri Shankar gained extensive experience in processing over 850 cancer tissues and developed expertise in cell culture techniques, cell-based assays, and drug screening/testing programs related to Immuno-oncology. Dr. Gowri Shankar was also responsible for analyzing and interpreting cytokine and Nano-String data.

Before joining Farcast Biosciences, Dr. Krishnan worked as a Research Associate at Government Stanley Hospital from June 2017 to July 2018. Here, they specialized in the area of Regenerative Medicine, specifically in the isolation, characterization, and culturing of Mesenchymal Stem Cells from various tissue types such as Wharton's Jelly, Cord Blood, and Bone Marrow. Dr. Gowri Shankar also gained experience in using Mesenchymal Stem Cells for the treatment of Acute Liver Toxicity.

Dr. Krishnan's work experience also includes a position as a Junior Researcher at Loyola College from January 2015 to December 2016.

Dr. Gowri Shankar Krishnan (He/Him) pursued their education at Loyola College from 2013 to 2018. During this time, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Cancer biology and Biotechnology.
