Peter Varg

Peter Varg has a diverse work experience in the software industry. Peter is currently working as a Senior DevOps Engineer at FarmIQ Systems Ltd since July 2022. Prior to that, they were employed at MYOB as a Senior DevOps Engineer from June 2020 to June 2022. Before joining MYOB, Peter worked at Smart Parking Technology as a Senior Software Developer from June 2019 to March 2020.

Peter's longest tenure was at Orion Health, where they held various positions. Peter started as a Junior Software Engineer in November 2010 and was responsible for Java development, RESTful web services, JSP, and Javascript web development. From January 2013 to June 2016, Peter served as an Intermediate Software Engineer, leading feature development and working with Java, Puppet, Ruby, and C# WPF. Finally, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Orion Health from July 2016 to June 2019, specializing in building with Java, Puppet, and Ruby for deploying to the AWS cloud, as well as analyzing technical requirements and creating design documents.

Peter Varg has a diverse education history. Peter began their education at Unitec | Te Pūkenga in 2005, where they obtained a Certificate of Applied Technology in Carpentry. Peter then attended Auckland University of Technology from 2006 to 2007, earning a Diploma in Electrotechnology with a focus on Computer Engineering. Peter continued their studies at Auckland University of Technology from 2008 to 2010, completing a Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Computer Systems Engineering and Software Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Peter Varg has obtained several certifications. In 2012, they earned the Rhapsody Associate Certification from Orion Health, and in 2014, they obtained the Rhapsody Professional Certification from the same institution. Most recently, in 2021, Peter obtained the AWS Cloud Practitioner Certificate from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
