Kentaro Kuwata

Kentaro Kuwata has worked as a Senior Software Engineer - Image Scientist at FarmX since 2016. Prior to that, they were a Technical Research Analyst at PASCO CORPORATION from 2011 to 2016. In this role, they were responsible for developing a web-based library system of crop growth models and analyzing TerraSAR-X data for the field of agriculture and disaster. Kentaro also extracted data to assess the condition of areas stricken by flood and typhoon in Thailand and Japan.

Kentaro Kuwata's education history includes a Doctor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Tokyo between 2013 and 2016, a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science from The University of Tokyo, Graduate School of Frontier Science between 2009 and 2011, a Bachelor of Science degree in Agrobiological Resource Sciences and Agricultural and Forestry Science from University of Tsukuba, College of Agrobiological Resources Sciences between 2005 and 2009, and graduation from Ardsley High School between 2002 and 2005. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Functional Programming Principles in Scala from Coursera in September 2019 and Big Data Analysis with Scala and Spark from Coursera in April 2019.
