Richard Bradley

Richard Bradley has a strong background in software engineering and systems administration. Richard is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Fastly since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Joyent for almost 10 years, starting as a Support Engineer in August 2012 and later transitioning to a Software Engineer role in October 2016. At Joyent, Richard was responsible for researching and reviewing technology for next-generation object storage, maintaining and extending current object storage and container orchestration products, and providing support for global production deployments. Richard also authored notification tools and provided on-site engagements for customers. Before joining Joyent, Richard worked as a Systems Administrator at Swinton Group from October 2011 to June 2012, where they performed systems administration tasks across Windows and Redhat/CentOS systems and managed SAN-backed Hyper-V environments. Prior to that, they worked as a First Line Support Specialist at UNRVLD from December 2010 to September 2011, providing support for various websites and assisting with migration projects. Overall, Richard has extensive experience in software engineering, systems administration, and customer support.

Richard Bradley obtained a BSc in Computing from the University of South Wales, studying from 2004 to 2007. Richard also holds a certification as a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist in Windows Server Virtualization, Configuring, which they obtained in April 2011.
