Sean McIntyre

Sean McIntyre has extensive work experience in design systems engineering and front-end development. Sean currently holds the position of Staff Design Systems Engineer at Fastly since October 2022. Prior to that, Sean worked at Vimeo, where they held roles such as Principal Engineer, Design Systems from January 2021 to August 2022, Senior Engineer, Design Systems from June 2019 to January 2021, and Front End Engineer, Design Systems from June 2018 to June 2019. Before joining Vimeo, Sean was a Product Designer & Front End Engineer at LighthouseLGBT from February 2018 to May 2018. Sean also has experience at Gust, where they worked as a Product Designer & Front End Engineer. Sean initially joined Sharewave in January 2015, which was later acquired by Gust. At Gust, Sean continued their role from January 2016 to November 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a Front-End Developer at North Street in 2014. Sean also has experience outside the tech industry, having co-founded and produced TEDxSLC from April 2012 to July 2013. Sean also served as the Vanguard Editor-in-Chief and Student Technician in the Film Department at Sarah Lawrence College from August 2011 to May 2012 and September 2010 to May 2012, respectively.

Sean McIntyre attended Sarah Lawrence College from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts. In 2007, they briefly attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, focusing on Visual Art. In 2006, they had a short stint at the University of Houston, studying Architecture. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2008, they attended HSPVA, specializing in Visual Art. In 2013, Sean enrolled at General Assembly to study User Experience, although it does not specify if they obtained a degree from there.
