Olivier Baseggio has been working in various roles since 1989. Olivier began their career as a Research and Development Engineer at Versitec SA in 1989. In 1993, they moved to Steiger SA, where they held the roles of Head of R&D, industrialization, product improvement and care for the textile division, and Manager Graphic Division. In 2010, they became an Engineering Manager New Product Development at Applied Materials, where they were responsible for specifying, developing and documenting modules of existing machines, as well as performing and/or supervising engineering analysis. In 2011, they moved to Synova SA as an Engineering Manager. In 2013, they began working as a Technical Consultant on a freelance basis. In 2017, they joined Idiap Research Institute as an Engineer. In 2018, they took on the roles of Business Developer at Fastree3D and Technology and Industrialization Specialist at Global ID SA - EPFL Innovation Park. Since 2021, they have been working as a Conseiller Général at Commune de St-Maurice.

Olivier Baseggio completed their Master in Physics Engineering from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) between 1985 and 1989. Prior to that, they obtained their Maturité from Collège de St-Maurice between 1981 and 1985, studying the scientific field.
