Lala Barka Mint Zahabi

Lala Barka Mint Zahabi is a co-founder of The West African Social Investment Firm since October 2022 and currently serves as a consultant at the Folke Bernadotte Academy starting from July 2023. Previous experience includes a role as a policy consultant at Independent Diplomat from January to September 2022, as well as program development at the World Affairs Council of Atlanta in early 2020. Lala worked as a program officer at ALCARAMA from January 2017 to January 2020 and contributed to fundraising efforts for global health programs at The Carter Center, successfully mobilizing 6.2 million dollars. Additionally, experience as a research assistant in the Political Affairs Division of MINUSMA at the United Nations occurred in mid-2019. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in International Social and Public Policy from The London School of Economics and Political Science, a Bachelor's degree in Communication with a focus on Public Policy from Georgia State University, and a Baccalauréat in Literature from Lycée Français Liberté - Bamako.
