Yvonne Laird

Yvonne Laird has extensive work experience in finance and leadership roles. Yvonne began their career as an Assistant Audit Manager at KPMG UK, where they worked on audits for clients such as Carillion plc and the Royal Shakespeare Company. During their time at KPMG UK, they also gained experience in non-assurance work, including PFI financial model review and due diligence. Yvonne then joined One Stop Stores Ltd as a Reporting Manager, where they managed the Head Office management accounts team and provided guidance to budget holders.

After their role at One Stop Stores Ltd, Yvonne worked at Serco - a world of experience, initially as the Finance Director for Serco Learning, where they led strategic product development and change management initiatives. Yvonne later became the Finance & Commercial Director for Serco Education & Learning, responsible for M&A activities and overseeing commercial and financial matters for education contracts.

Yvonne then joined Scientia Ltd as the Group Finance Director, where they had responsibility for finance, commercial, and HR across multiple international legal entities. Yvonne successfully completed projects such as the disposal of subsidiary companies and capital restructures.

Following their time at Scientia Ltd, Yvonne became the Group Finance Director at North Hertfordshire College. Yvonne then moved on to serve as the Chief Operating Officer & Director of Finance at Relate, before eventually taking on the role of Chief Finance Officer at FCDO Services.

Throughout their career, Yvonne has demonstrated strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive change and manage complex projects.

Yvonne Laird completed their education from Aston University between 1997 and 2001. Yvonne earned a BSc Hons 2:1 degree in Business & Finance.
