Mylene Francois

Mylene Francois has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Mylene started their career as an intern at the Office of the European Union to Hong Kong and Macao, where they reported on political, social, economic, and legislative affairs. Mylene also organized a visibility event on the EU in Hong Kong.

Mylene then worked as an editorial intern at Le Soir, conducting research and reporting on political, social, and economic affairs worldwide. Mylene specifically focused on the French Presidential elections in 2012.

Mylene later joined the European Commission as a BlueBook Trainee, providing support to the Africa Working Group and analyzing Multiannual Indicative Programmes and decisions/projects of the European Development Fund.

Mylene then worked at the UN-ESCWA United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia as a Research Analyst, where they supported ESCWA Member Countries on Financing for Development and conducted research in various economic development areas.

After that, Mylene served as a Budget Assistant at the European Commission, preparing budgetary forecasts and providing general assistance on financial IT systems.

Most recently, Mylene worked at Rikolto as the Planning, Learning, and Accountability Coordinator and Communication Officer, responsible for internal and external communications, program development, and coordination of the organization's Planning, Learning, and Accountability system.

Currently, Mylene holds the position of Deputy Director at Fedasil.

Mylene Francois's education history begins with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Université libre de Bruxelles, which they obtained from 2007 to 2010. Mylene then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Charles University from 2009 to 2010. Mylene went on to complete their Master's degree in European Studies - Politics from Institut d'Etudes Europeennes, from 2010 to 2012. Mylene furthered their education by obtaining an Advanced Master's degree in International and Development Economics from Université de Namur from 2012 to 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Mylene obtained several certifications. Apart from these certifications, Mylene earned a certification in Aid and Development Effectiveness in the post-Busan context in January 2014.
