Ashley Mihalik

Deputy Director

Ashley Mihalik has extensive experience in financial risk management and regulatory policy within the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), serving in various roles since June 2009, including Associate Director of Financial Risk Management and Chief of Banking and Regulatory Policy. Key responsibilities have included overseeing the Deposit Insurance Fund, managing risk-based deposit insurance assessments, and advising senior FDIC executives on significant policy issues. Prior to their tenure at the FDIC, Ashley worked as a Publications Assistant at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a Research Assistant at the American Council on Education, and an intern in the U.S. House of Representatives. Ashley holds an MBA from The George Washington University School of Business and a BA in Economics and International Affairs from The George Washington University.
