Jeran Herbert, MURP, currently serves as an Emergency Management Specialist at FEMA since July 2023. Previously, Jeran held positions at Community Attributes Inc. as a Planning Analyst and at Highland Planning LLC as a Senior Planner - Public Engagement Associate. Jeran's experience also includes working as a Community Planner at Mississippi State University and as a Policy & Civic Engagement Project Coordinator at the William Winter Institute for Racial Reconciliation. Additional roles included a Housing Group Fellow at the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, a Geographic Information Systems Analyst at Hexagon US Federal, and various research and teaching positions during graduate studies at Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University, where a Master's degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning was obtained. Jeran's expertise encompasses urban planning, policy analysis, public engagement, and demographic research.
