Jessica L. Lawson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in disaster recovery and humanitarian services. Currently serving as a Voluntary Agency Liaison Specialist at FEMA since July 2023, Jessica previously held the position of Disaster Recovery Program Manager at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, overseeing recovery efforts for multiple wildfire disasters. With a strong background in outreach and service coordination at the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, Jessica specialized in connecting homeless individuals, particularly refugees and asylum seekers, to essential programs and services. Prior experience includes roles at FEMA as an Applicant Services Program Specialist, a Development Associate at Art of Honor/CBC, and a consultant for the Hope Foundation for Women & Children of Bangladesh, where Jessica successfully led a grant-writing team.
