Joe Sciortino

Joe Sciortino is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in disaster recovery and management. Currently serving as Chief of Staff for FEMA Region 2, Joe has also held significant roles such as Branch Chief in the Management & Analysis Branch of the Recovery Division at FEMA, and served as Deputy Chief of Staff during the Puerto Rico Hurricane Maria recovery efforts. Prior to FEMA, Joe was the Chief of Staff at the Governor's Office of Storm Recovery in New York, and has held various leadership positions including Director of Industrial & Commercial Business Assistance at Long Island City Partnership and Chief of Staff for the Borough of Staten Island. Additionally, Joe has experience in academia as an Assistant Director and Adjunct Professor at St. John's University. Joe holds a Master's Degree in Global Development & Social Justice and a Bachelor's Degree in Italian Language and Literature and Adolescent Education from St. John's University.
