Rachel Cychosz

Rachel Cychosz currently serves as the Deputy Assistant Administrator for Risk Analysis, Planning, and Information Directorate and the Director for Community Resilience Coordination Division at FEMA. Previous experience includes a role as Director for Preparedness and Response at the National Security Council, and various leadership positions at FEMA from 2012 to 2022, where Rachel led teams focused on disaster recovery, policy development, and crisis response, including critical support during the COVID-19 pandemic. Early career experiences encompass internships at the Wisconsin Court System and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, along with advocacy work for domestic violence victims. Educational credentials include a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, a Certificate in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, and a BA from Marquette University.
