Jim Carolan is a seasoned UX Design Leader with extensive experience in driving user-centered design strategies across various organizations. Currently serving as the Head of UX at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York since October 2022, Jim leads the in-house User-Centered Design Center of Excellence and collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance product delivery. Previously, Jim held multiple leadership roles at Gartner for over two decades, including Vice President of Design – Global Product Management and Vice President of the User Experience & Design Center of Excellence, where Jim spearheaded initiatives to integrate human-centered design practices and led diverse teams to create successful digital products. Jim also played a crucial role at Local Concepts Marketing, LLC. and Motorola Solutions, where Jim established impactful digital presences and managed design and development efforts. Educationally, Jim holds a Master’s degree in Management of Technology from Fairfield University and a Bachelor of Arts in English with a Marketing concentration from Boston College.
