Divyansh Kaushik

Associate Director For Emerging Technologies And National Security at Federation of American Scientists

Divyansh Kaushik has a diverse work experience in various research and technology-related positions. Divyansh started their career as a Research and Development Intern at Amadeus Labs in 2017. Divyansh then worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Carnegie Mellon University - School of Computer Science - Language Technologies Institute from 2017 to 2022. During this time, they also served as a Visiting Applied Scientist at Amazon Web Services (AWS) from May 2021 to November 2021 and as a Visiting Researcher at Facebook AI from May 2020 to December 2020. In 2022, they joined the Federation of American Scientists as a Science and Technology Policy Fellow and later as the Associate Director for Emerging Technologies and National Security. In 2023, they became an Advisory Council Member at the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue.

Divyansh Kaushik completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology in the years 2013 to 2017. Divyansh then pursued their Masters in Language Technologies with a focus on Artificial Intelligence at Carnegie Mellon University from 2017 to 2019. Currently, they are studying at Carnegie Mellon University, working towards their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Artificial Intelligence, which is expected to be completed in 2022.
