Matt Hourihan has extensive work experience in various roles related to research and development, budget and policy program, clean energy policy analysis, and campaign communications. Matt is currently serving as the Associate Director for R&D and Advanced Industry at the Federation of American Scientists. Prior to that, they held positions such as Director of the R&D Budget and Policy Program at AAAS, Clean Energy Policy Analyst at the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation, and Jan Schori Fellow at the Business Council for Sustainable Energy.
