Renee Vuillaume

Renee Vuillaume has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Renee started their career as an Economic Development Volunteer with the Peace Corps, where they established a computer training program and led the design and construction of a potable water-pumping system. Renee then worked as an Operations Intern and Operations Assistant at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. After that, they were a Research Assistant at the UIC Institute for Health Research and Policy, where they applied system dynamics to evaluate the impact of government policies on childhood obesity. Renee also worked as a Summer Fellow at Ashoka, where they designed a cost-benefit analysis framework and leveraged social media for relationship-building. Following that, they were a Graduate Student Fellow at the Harvard Food Law and Policy Clinic, where they authored a guide on implementing state and local policies to reduce food waste in schools. Renee then joined the Environmental Defense Fund as an External Consultant, where they conducted research on fisheries policies and climate change adaptation. Renee later worked as an Independent Researcher at the Harvard University Advanced Leadership Initiative. Prior to their current role, Renee held positions at The Global Knowledge Initiative as a Program Officer and Senior Program Officer, leading the global food systems portfolio. Currently, they are working at Feeding America, starting as a Research Manager and progressing to a Senior Research Manager and, most recently, as the Director of Service Insights and Analytics.

Renee Vuillaume earned a BA in Business Administration and Psychology from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2009. Later, they completed their Master in Public Policy (MPP) with a focus on Political and Economic Development at Harvard Kennedy School from 2013 to 2015.
