Denise Liu has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Currently, they serve as the Principal Research Executive at FEI YUE COMMUNITY SERVICES. Prior to this, they held various roles at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), including Institutional Review Board Member and Associate Educator. At SUSS, they supervised social work students, taught psychology modules, and conducted qualitative research. Denise also worked as a Senior Research Executive at South Central Community Family Service Centre, where they conducted practice research, supported program evaluations, and provided case management. Additionally, Denise has held roles at the National Council of Social Service (NCSS) as an Adult Educator and at the Singapore Children's Society as a Lead Research Officer. Denise also worked as a Special Projects Officer at NCSS and as a Senior Research Psychologist & Assistant Manager at the Ministry of Social and Family Development, Singapore (MSF). In these positions, they conducted research, managed teams, and contributed to the publication and presentation of research findings.
Denise Liu holds a Master's degree in Psychology (By Research) from the National University of Singapore, which they obtained from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours, 2nd Uppers) in Psychology at the same university from 2002 to 2006. Additionally, they have earned several certifications, including Group 4: IRB Members from the CITI Program in 2023, Training for Institutional Review Board members from the CITI Program in 2020, and an Advanced Certificate in Training & Assessment from the Institute for Adult Learning Singapore in 2014.
