AJ Almaguer

AJ Almaguer has an extensive work experience in software engineering, design engineering, and mechanical engineering. AJ began their career in 2010 as a Lab Manager at Lawrence Hall of Science, where they redesigned the Ingenuity Lab and designed a novel measurement system to track guests' engagement. In 2011, they worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Baxter International Inc., conducting feasibility and design verification studies. From 2012 to 2016, they held various roles at Krypton Vision, Beam Camp, USAePay, and General Assembly. In 2017, they worked as a Senior Full Stack Developer at Farmers Insurance, refactoring and developing new features for the Customer Self Service Portal. AJ also worked as a Lead Frontend Developer at EZ-Events, creating the frontend of a Taekwondo Tournament management application. In 2019, they joined Fernish as a Staff Software Engineer and was later promoted to Senior Software Engineer.

AJ Almaguer attended UC Berkeley College of Engineering from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. In 2016, they attended General Assembly and completed the Web Development Immersive program, focusing on Front End and Back End Web Development.
