Irma Ravkic has been in the field of research and development since 2011 when they began as a PhD student at K.U.Leuven. In 2016, they moved to the University of California, Los Angeles as a Postdoc in Medical ML. In 2018, they became an Assistant Professor at Mount Saint Mary's University and in 2019, they took on a Part-time Faculty role at Santa Monica College. In the same year, they also became a Part-time Data Scientist at RelationalAI. In 2020, they began working at Edfinity as a Postdoc/Software Engineer and at the National Science Foundation (NSF) as an NSF-IPERF scholar. Currently, they are a Research Scientist at Fero Labs.
Irma Ravkic's education history includes a Doctor of Engineering Science in Computer Science from KU Leuven (2011-2016), a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence from KU Leuven (2010-2011), an Electrical Engineer in Technical Informatics from the University of Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina (2004-2009), and attendance at a Summer School in Tarragona in 2013.
