Noélia started their career as a part-time translator, copywriter, and SEO content writer in 2007. In 2017, they joined Stannah as a marketing content specialist and translation/localization project manager, where they were responsible for managing projects and creating marketing content.

Throughout their career, Noélia has held various freelance roles with different companies. Noélia worked as a freelance translator for Welocalize, focusing on Portuguese translation. At BabeliUM, they worked as a freelance translator, handling technical translations into Portuguese, Spanish, and English, as well as managing translation memory and termbase. Noélia also worked with Semantix, Moving Words, and Ferryhopper as a freelance Portuguese translator, reviewer, and language manager respectively.

Noélia's experience also includes working at Teleperformance as a senior content writer, where they played a crucial role in developing content strategy and creating English content for B2B, internal, and global audiences. Noélia Santos has a diverse education history. Noélia completed their Post-Graduation in Multilingual Translation and Communication at Universidade do Minho from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2008, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Portuguese and English Studies at the same university, specializing in Arts and Humanities, Lexical Databases, Digital Libraries, Lexicography, and Bookpublishing. Before their Bachelor's degree, they pursued a degree in Portuguese and English at Universidade do Minho from 2002 to 2006, focusing on Language, Literature, and Pedagogy.

In terms of continuous professional development, Noélia Santos has engaged in various online courses. In 2021, they took an online course at Nimdzi - Language and Localization Industry, focusing on Localization Project Management.
