Martin Harvey is an experienced consultant entomologist and biological recorder with a diverse background in ecological research and data management. Currently serving as a Research Associate at the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology, Martin supports the Biological Records Centre and engages in various projects, including web support and data management for the UK Pollinator Monitoring Scheme. As a self-employed consultant, Martin has conducted invertebrate surveys and managed biodiversity data for several organizations, including the Forestry Commission and Natural England. Additionally, Martin serves as an Associate Tutor for the Field Studies Council, teaching courses on entomology and wildlife recording. Previous roles include iSpot UK Curator at Open University and environmental records management positions at Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes Environmental Records Centre and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust. Martin holds a BMus degree from the University of Surrey.
