Courtney Weaver

Courtney Weaver is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience covering Eastern European affairs, particularly Russian business, economics, and politics. Currently serving as a Special Correspondent for the Financial Times out of Berlin, Courtney has previously held roles including US Political Correspondent, where coverage included the 2016 US presidential election and ongoing White House and congressional matters. Notable positions also include Deputy Moscow Bureau Chief and Moscow Correspondent, focusing on the Kremlin, the Ukraine conflict, and Russia's oligarchs. Courtney was a finalist for the British Press Awards in 2014 and 2012. Earlier career highlights include reporting on the 2008-2009 financial crisis for the Moscow Times and internships with The New York Times and BusinessWeek Magazine. Courtney holds a BA in Russian Language and Literature from Stanford University.
