Luke Blaney

Luke Blaney is an experienced Cyber Security Director at the Financial Times, where responsibilities include leading the creation of a dedicated Cyber Security function and managing three teams focused on Cyber Risk, IT Governance, and Cyber Security Engineering. Luke has a strong background in technical leadership, having held various roles such as Principal Engineer in Cyber Security Engineering and Reliability Engineering, Lead Architect for the Universal Publishing Platform, and Integration Engineer for cloud migration projects. Additional experience includes a brief secondment with Nikkei's Product Security team and previous roles as a Labs Developer and Developer in web projects. Luke holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Computer Science and Physics from The University of Edinburgh.
