FINBOURNE’s Client Delivery team work directly with clients to understand their business needs and assist them to implement, connect and configure our software.  The team consists of Delivery Managers, who plan and govern implementations and Implementation Consultants who provide expert support to our clients.

We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to join our newly established Australian team to lead a key client engagement with one of Australia’s largest superannuation funds. There is also an opportunity to lead additional client engagements over time - key responsibilities include:

  • Driving delivery and unblocking issues to maintain progress and achieve objectives and milestones
  • Managing scope and applying discipline in change management
  • Building and maintaining project and programme level plans across complex streams of work
  • Working closely with Engineering, Sales and Product teams to ensure the successful and timely delivery of all client solutions
  • Using JIRA, Dynamics and the RAID logs to manage deliveries with engineers, implementation consultants and clients
  • Tracking resources and costs throughout engagements, ensuring the adequate level of coverage for successful delivery
  • Building strong professional relationships with clients and supporting and coaching stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes

This role is based in Brisbane and involves regular inter-state travel to visit clients, you can expect to spend 2-3 nights away every 2-3 weeks.

In addition, it is important to note that although the Client Delivery team is based in Australia, the Product and Engineering teams are based out of London, United Kingdom. Therefore, in addition to working with clients in Australia this role requires regular meetings during London working hours (6pm – 2am during British Summer Time which is April to October and 7pm – 3am throughout the rest of the year).

The role is therefore well suited to someone open to splitting their working day across these two time zones.

Essential skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Experience as a Project/Delivery Manager, with a focus on transformation in superannuation funds, investment managers or administration services firms
  • An understanding of building investment positions from transactions, valuing those positions to calculate market value, exposure and other analytics (e.g. fixed income duration), instrument mastering, corporate action processing, performance measurement and operational reporting
  • Experience leading implementations of Investment Book of Record (IBOR) or Enterprise Data Management (EDM) software solutions
  • Strong financial product knowledge, having worked with and having a familiarity of financial products such as equities, government bonds, corporate bonds, foreign exchange forwards, interest rate swaps, cross currency swaps, total return swaps, credit default swaps, asset backed securities, property, infrastructure & real assets
  • Experience of managing senior stakeholders, to drive projects forward and to build consensus across multi-discipline teams
  • Delivery focused, entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to rapidly identify risks and blockers and lead resolution
  • Knowledge or exposure to Agile delivery approaches
  • Relevant degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working for a superannuation fund, asset manager, bank or financial software or service provider
