Alyssa Bowers

Alyssa Bowers has a diverse work experience starting from their role as a Program Coordinator at the University of Central Florida from July 2010 to January 2015. During this time, they assisted in the development of Global Partnership initiatives and coordinated consultant site visits.

Following that, Alyssa joined Sedgwick as a Trainer and Claims Specialist, where they completed a competitive advancement program and gained expertise in claims administration and communication with multiple entities.

In 2016, Alyssa joined CorVel Corporation as a Training Documentation Specialist and later became a Learning and Organizational Development Program Manager. In these roles, they defined and fulfilled training needs for various stakeholders, created project specifications, and managed stakeholder relationships.

From 2019 to 2021, Alyssa worked at SheerID as a Project Manager and a Learning and Organizational Development Specialist. In these roles, they managed knowledge centers, developed and implemented organizational learning strategies, and supported people development solutions.

Currently, Alyssa is working at FINEOS as a Cloud Operations Practice Specialist, starting in October 2021.

Alyssa Bowers has a strong educational background with a focus on communication and media studies. Alyssa completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication and Media Studies at Flagler College from 2003 to 2006. In 2005, Alyssa also had a brief study experience in International/Global Studies at the University of Virginia.

Seeking further specialization and knowledge, Alyssa pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Mass Communication at the University of Central Florida from 2010 to 2013.

In addition to their academic achievements, Alyssa has obtained various certifications to enhance their professional skills. These include a certification as an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Practitioner and a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from HRCI, both obtained in May 2023. Alyssa also completed courses in Communicating Across Cultures and Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging from LinkedIn in August 2020.
