Peter Paul Opata

Peter Paul Opata has extensive experience in program and project management within humanitarian and educational sectors. Currently serving as Program Manager at the Finnish Refugee Council since November 2020, Peter Paul previously held the role of Project Manager for the Financial Literacy Training Project. Prior to that, experience includes being a Project Manager at the Danish Refugee Council and serving as Executive Secretary for Non-Clinical HIV & AIDS programming at the Uganda Catholic Secretariat. Peter Paul has a strong academic background, holding a Master’s degree in African Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Bradford and a Bachelor of Commerce from Makerere University. Additional experiences include a Rotary Peace Fellowship with Fambul Tok International and significant involvement with Catholic Relief Services focusing on partnerships and peacebuilding initiatives.
