Roy Rotberg

Head of regulations at FIRST AIRBORNE

Roy Rotberg's work experience begins in 2013 when they served as a Combat soldier in the Golani brigade of the Israel Defense Forces. During this time, they performed duties as a Combat medic, Coms, and lead navigator, receiving recognition from the brigade's general for their excellent performance.

In 2018, Rotberg served as a student's committee organizer for the Student association at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where they encouraged volunteer activity and facilitated communication between students and academic faculties.

From 2018 to 2019, Rotberg worked as a Student Assistant for the Israel Ministry of Energy, participating in a geological risk assessment project and conducting samples preparation for stable isotopes analysis.

From 2020 to 2021, Rotberg served as an International relations officer for the Ministry of Environmental Protection, focusing on simplifying international documents for government officials, conducting topic-oriented research, and reporting national cooperation levels under the Barcelona convention.

In 2021, Rotberg worked as a Teaching Assistant at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where they assisted in courses on Geomorphology and Introduction to Environmental science.

From 2021 to 2022, Rotberg served as a First-responders training manager at Extream Simulations- EXS, managing a team of instructors and providing guidance to IDF soldiers on medical challenges in combat environments using realistic simulations.

In 2020, Rotberg took part in an Internship Trainee program at EcoPeace Middle East, where they gained professional orientation and built entrepreneurial and regional communication skills for promoting green entrepreneurship in Jordan, Palestine, and Israel.

Rotberg's current position is Head of regulations at First Airborne, starting in 2022.

Roy Rotberg completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (BSc) degree in Environmental Science and Geology at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 2017 to 2020. In addition to their degree, they have obtained a certification in the Green Social Entrepreneurship Program from EcoPeace Middle East in February 2022. Other than that, Roy has a certification in ESG Practitioner from Shibolet ESG – Shibolet Consulting Ltd., but details regarding the month and year of attainment are unavailable.
