First Home Care is a licensed Therapeutic Foster Care provider that operates from four locations though out the state of Virginia including Tidewater, Richmond, Alexandria and Roanoke. We offer foster care and adoption services for children who require out-of-home, community-based placement in a family setting. First Home Care strives to provide comprehensive, coordinated and nurturing care that is provided in the homes of our trained treatment families with support, supervision and 24-hour crisis intervention available from mental health professionals. Our therapeutic/specialized foster parents, trained in the Parent Skills Training (PST) model, offer caring and nurturing home environments that support children as they develop life skills, improve socialization skills, learn to succeed in school and develop a positive self-image. We have been CARF accredited for 6 years and granted a third tri-annual certification in August 2020. and proud of our affiliations with FFTA and VALCPA. Fostering Hope….
