Scott Cooper

Design Principal at First Mode

Scott Cooper started their work experience at Ford Motor Company in 2010 as a Product Design Engineer. Scott then progressed to roles such as Senior Product Strategist, Engagement Lead - Digital Service Design, and Product Strategy Manager. During their time at Ford, they conducted industry benchmarks, forecasted the impact of new EV propulsion technology, and collaborated with IDEO to institutionalize human-centered design. Scott is currently working at Anglo American as a User Experience Design Lead, where they focus on the nuGen Zero Emissions Haulage Solution project. Scott undertakes primary stakeholder and user research, designs and prototypes interactions, and facilitates user clinics. Additionally, Scott has recently started working as a Design Principal at First Mode.

Scott Cooper completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng.) degree in Automotive and Motorsport Engineering from Coventry University, which they attended from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, they pursued their A-Level studies in Industrial Design, Physics, and Business at Franklin Sixth Form College in Grimsby from 2005 to 2007.
