Yuh-Chi Niou

Yuh-Chi Niou, MS, CIH, CSP has extensive work experience in the field of environment, health, and safety. Their most recent position was as a Principal Global Environment Health and Safety Program Manager at First Mode, a role they began in June 2023. Prior to that, they were the Global Industrial Hygiene Program Manager at Reality Labs in Meta from March 2020 to October 2022.

From January 2018 to March 2020, Yuh-Chi worked at Apple as the Global EHS Industrial Hygiene Program Manager. Yuh-Chi also served as the EHS Lead Industrial Hygiene Programs from January 2017 to January 2018.

Before joining Apple, they worked at Tesla as a Senior Industrial Hygienist and EHSS Leader from July 2016 to January 2017.

Yuh-Chi's earlier experience includes working at The Boeing Company as an Industrial Hygienist from August 2014 to July 2016. Yuh-Chi was responsible for the industrial hygiene and safety needs of metal machine and plating operations shop, supporting all industrial hygiene concerns for the Portland Boeing plant.

Their career began at Intel Corporation, where they worked from August 2010 to August 2014. In this role, Yuh-Chi served as a Safety Coordinator and Industrial Hygienist, responsible for the safety and industrial hygiene needs of high volume manufacturing and technology development semiconductor plants.

Additionally, Yuh-Chi Niou has completed relevant internships, including an 8-week summer internship as an Industrial Hygiene Summer Intern at SMIC, China's leading semiconductor facility in Shanghai, China. Yuh-Chi also worked as an OHIP Intern for the Occupational Health Internship Program (OHIP) in 2009, where they assessed and documented workplace health and safety hazards.

Yuh-Chi Niou, MS, CIH, CSP earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Molecular Cell Biology and Development from the University of Washington in the years 2003 to 2008. Yuh-Chi then pursued a Master's degree (M.S.) in Occupational and Environmental Exposure Science from the same university between 2008 and 2010. Yuh-Chi Niou further obtained the Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification from the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH®) in January 2015, and the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals in June 2017.
