Jat Barmi

Jat Barmi has a diverse work experience in the field of media and communication technology. Jat started their career in 2003 as a Sr. Engineer at Reliance Infocomm, where they were involved in acceptance testing of network elements for fixed access networks. In 2005, they joined HFCL as a Sr. Engineer (Network Planning), where they evaluated and tested triple play services solutions offered by various vendors and planned and implemented IP-DSLAM rings over optical fiber.

In 2007, Jat joined Evertz as an Applications Engineer, managing high-profile projects for leading broadcasters and testing and launching Evertz's J2K CODEC and H.264 contribution platform. Jat also managed the contribution compression product line. After seven years at Evertz, Jat joined AWS Elemental, an Amazon Web Services Company, as a Product Manager - Compression. In this role, they worked cross-functionally to gather product requirements, define product roadmaps, and support sales with RFP/RFI/RFQ responses. Jat also conducted market research and collaborated with various teams to set product development priorities.

In 2014, Jat moved on to Imagine Communications as a Senior Solutions Architect, where they worked collaboratively with account managers and stakeholders to define project scopes and prepared solutions and system architectures for video processing and delivery. Jat also provided initial support to clients for product selection and systems design, with a focus on cloud-based SaaS and COTS solutions.

From 2015 to 2016, Jat worked as a Solutions Architect at Ericsson Canada, where they planned, designed, deployed, and launched Bell FibeTV ABR and participated in agile project management.

Most recently, in 2022, Jat joined Quickplay as a Principal Customer Success, where they are currently responsible for ensuring customer success and satisfaction.
