Samad Khan (Director, Infra and Operations engineering)

Samad Khan has extensive work experience in the field of infrastructure and operations engineering. Samad is currently serving as the Director of Infrastructure and Operations Engineering at Firstlight Media since November 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Associate Director of Infrastructure and Operations at the same company from March 2020 to October 2021.

Before joining Firstlight Media, Samad worked at AT&T as a Program Leader from January 2017 to March 2020. Samad also worked at Quickplay, where they started as a Project Manager from July 2014 to June 2016 and then became a Senior Manager of On Going Services from June 2016 to December 2016.

Samad's career started at Polaris Software Lab, where they worked as a Consultant from October 2007 to May 2011. Samad then joined D+H as a Project Lead from May 2011 to June 2013. Later, they served as a Team Lead at TCS Canada in BMO Financial Group from June 2013 to July 2014.

Throughout their career, Samad has gained valuable experience and expertise in infrastructure and operations engineering, demonstrating their ability to effectively lead teams and manage projects in this field.

Samad Khan received their education in various fields related to software engineering and agile software development. In 1999, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Application from Osmania University. In 2007, they attended Toronto College of Technology and obtained a degree in SAP ABAP Programming. Moving forward to 2012, Samad acquired a CTFL degree from the Canadian Software Testing Board, specializing in Computer Software Engineering. In 2017, they received certification as an AT&T Scrum Master from AT&T University, focusing on Agile Software development. Additionally, Samad has pursued further education through various certifications, including Communication Foundations, DevOps Foundations: Lean and Agile, Leading Projects, Agile at Work: Building Your Agile Team, Agile at Work: Driving Productive Agile Meetings, Cert Prep: Project Management Professional (PMP), Scrum: Advanced, Certified SAFe 4 Advanced Scrum Master, and Certified SAFe 4 Practitioner among others.
