Sonia Zhu

Sonia Zhu began their work experience as an Associate - Private Equity at GLG in 2020. Sonia then progressed to the role of Senior Associate - Private Equity, where they focused on large cap LBO PE across the UK market and Mid Market transactions in Italy and Spain. Sonia was a top performer in the EMEA region and exceeded KPI targets by 190%. Sonia later became a Manager - Private Equity at GLG before joining Fitch Solutions as an Associate Director - Account Management in 2023.

Sonia Zhu obtained a Bachelor's degree in Finance from The University of Manchester in 2019. Before that, they received a High School Diploma from Liceo Classico di Stato "E. Montale" in 2016. Sonia has also obtained several additional certifications, including Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) level 1 from CFA Institute (2021), BMC from Bloomberg LP (2019), Diplôme d'études en langue française DELF B1 from Institut français (2019), Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera DELE C1 from Instituto Cervantes (2016), Goethe Zertifikat B1 from Goethe-Institut e.V. (2016), IELTS - overall score 8.0/9 from IELTS Official (2015), and TOEFL ibt - overall score 102/120 from The TOEFL test (2015).
