Jorge Castano

Jorge Castano has a long history of work experience. Jorge began their career in 2007 as a Sales Associate at The Source, where they were awarded Sales Excellence every year and was responsible for annual sales of more than $300,000 as a part-timer working 15 hours per week. In 2014, they moved to N-able Technologies as an Inside Sales LatAm, where they were responsible for profiling, prospecting and booking sales presentations, delivering the company's value proposition, and supporting outside sales activities. In 2017, they took a student position as a Full Stack Web Developer at Calgary Counselling Centre, where they successfully built an end user web application from the ground up to serve the company's thousands of clients. In 2018, they moved to VizworX Inc. as a Software Developer, where they delivered exciting software on the desktop, mobile, web, and AR/VR space by using various technological stacks, investigated, learned and applied potential solutions to technological problems, and participated in a team environment using the agile development methodology. In 2020, they moved to IBM as a Technical Consultant - Cognitive Process Automation, and in 2021 they moved to Flahmingo as a Backend Tech Lead.

Jorge Castano completed a Bachelor of Computer Information Systems from Mount Royal University between 2015 and 2018, with a field of study in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance.
