Piet Verhoeve is currently the Director of Innovation at Flanders.healthTech. Prior to this, they were a Guest Professor at KU Leuven Faculty of Engineering Technology - Ghent Technology Campus from October 2019 to September 2021. There, they taught a course on the fundamentals of Internet communication protocols. Piet is also the Chairman of the Jury for Textirama Foundation, a professional jury that awards innovative concept and start-up projects in the textile industry to enhance innovation in related to the textile industry. Piet's role as chairman is to set up the selection process, select the best jury members, enable the pitching and ranking of files submitted. The nominees were awarded in 2020 and 2021. Piet has also held positions as Business Development at flanders.health from November 2019 to December 2021, Member of the Board at vzw O2, and Member Of The Advisory Board at Team Bedrijfstrajecten - VLAIO. Piet was also the CEO of Hangar K from January 2018 to July 2019.
Piet Verhoeve has a PhD in engineering from Ghent University. Piet is also Ir in electronical mechanical engineering from KU Leuven.
