**Position: IT Director**

The IT Director will be in charge of the IT manager, engineers, analysts and manage the

company’s technology operations and the implementation of new IT systems and policies.

We are looking for a hands-on candidate that is very knowledgeable in IT and computer systems

and is able to provide exemplary VIP support to our Executive Team. If you have a solid

technical background and ability to manage and motivate people then we want to speak with you.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in creating and implementing IT policies and systems

that will meet company objectives.

**Responsibilities:**

● Manages and evaluates the work of the IT team to ensure technical discipline to meet

deadlines not only within IT but for other departments

● Reviews and manages local IT budgets, purchasing, allocations and spend tracking

● Contributes to IT tactical plans that support technical and operational strategies

● Partners with other functional teams across the company to support their strategic visions

● Evaluates operating systems, IT infrastructure software and hardware, methods and

processes to improve systems reliability and performance

● Manages and prioritizes the IT workload which includes assisting staff to meet goals and

deadlines

● Participates in problem management processes to determine root cause of failures and

improve performance and reliability of systems

● Establish & monitor consistent and repeatable processes to maintain system software and

devices to deliver security patches to computing platforms

● Ensure IT/Security policies & procedures are followed, maintained, and updated.

● Provide leadership by ensuring department and individual’s goals are met.

● Manages talent utilizing HR supplied recognition tools and participates in workforce

planning, staffing, and development

● Participates in assessing and recommending improvements to the IT organization

structure, roles and responsibilities

● Responsible for individual performance assessments and improvement plans

● Responsible for coaching, counseling, assisting employees to develop individual career

development and training plans

● Maintain and administer the company phone system (e.g., new user setup and voicemail

configuration, vendor and phone service provider relations, phone system testing and

inventory).

● Develop training materials and procedures, or train users in the proper use of hardware or

software.

● Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial

actions taken, or installation activities.

● Perform related duties as requested

**Requirements:**

● Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field preferred, equivalent experience may be substituted in

lieu of education

● Technical certifications preferred

● 10+ years of IT leadership experience, preferable at the director level

● Google Workspace, Meraki, and VMWare

● Strong IT knowledge with software, hardware and applications

● Good working knowledge with Google Workspace and products

● The ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and

management, capable of successful formal and informal communication, speaks and writes

clearly and understandably

● Teamwork – Working well in a collaborative setting, supporting work team by volunteering

for and completing assignments, acting as a positive team member by contributing to

discussions, developing and maintaining both formal and informal relationships enterprise-

wide, defines success in terms of the entire team through mentoring and knowledge transfer

and leads by example

● Demonstrating a commitment to increasing knowledge and skills in

current technical/functional area, keeping up to date on technical developments, staying

informed as to industry practices, knowing how to apply relevant technical processes to

appropriate business needs

● Demonstrated success with providing support and problem resolution with unfamiliar

systems, software and hardware and a passion for solving problems long-term.

● Ability to deliver outstanding customer service and demonstrate professionalism while

maintaining composure in stressful situations.

● Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required.

● Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.

● Ability to create documentation and SOPs for users and internal department use.

● Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

● Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

● Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 20 pounds

**Skills:**

● Experience providing 24/7 support (weekdays and weekends).

● Experience in the analysis, installation, administration, and troubleshooting of all aspects of a

client/server data network including multi-facility client/server network and system

administration and support. Experience should include IT ticketing and request systems, ITIL methodology.
