Chris Eide

Chris Eide has over 17 years of work experience in various technology-related roles. Chris is currently the Director of Engineering at Flashpoint, where they lead engineering teams and oversees IT governance activities. Prior to this, from 2021 to 2022, Chris worked as the Director of Technology and Software Engineering at Risk Based Security.

From 2016 to 2021, Chris served as the Chief Technology Officer at Connexus Secure, where they accelerated technology innovation, implemented security compliance measures, and achieved the MVP milestone with the first customer sale in just 3 months.

Before that, from 2015 to 2016, Chris worked as a Program Manager at HyperGen Inc., where they launched and managed a new line of business for cloud application development and spearheaded the development of the initial security program.

Chris's early work experience includes roles as an Engineer, Software Developer, and Director of Information Technology at Simplicity Services LLC from 2005 to 2015. In this role, they provided fully managed services to start-ups and small businesses, with notable achievements in designing, deploying, and managing bulk CATV, wireless internet, and telephony services for the multi-dwelling-unit market.

Chris Eide attended Ferrum College, where they studied Computer Science. They also obtained various certifications, including Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (ACSPO) from Scrum Alliance in 2023, Certified Scrum@Scale Practitioner from Scrum, Inc. in 2018, and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance in 2018 and 2017 respectively. Additionally, they have certifications in Security+ from CompTIA in 2017, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: Windows 2000 Server (MCSE) from Microsoft in 2001, CCNA from Cisco in 2000, and Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) from Scrum Alliance in 2021.
