The People Team at Fleetio is expanding and has an opportunity for a data savvy leader who will oversee the success and functionality of our HR tools to support best in class people programs. In this role, you will partner cross-functionally across the business with key leaders and peers within the people team and beyond, to build and improve upon the foundation and frameworks of the entire Fleetian employee lifecycle. 

You will influence the following areas: HR systems and tooling, compensation, and data quality within people systems. Your focus will be to ensure system configurations, processes, and HR support operations and compensation programs are documented, scalable, efficient, integrated, and controlled accordingly.

Who you are

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who enjoys solving complex problems and can visualize and build a highly functional people operations ecosystem and tool stack to support Fleetians across the company. You are a technology and tooling guru! In this role you will own our HR tech stack and be expected to consistently evaluate our tooling’s ability to support our growth and ever-changing needs across the business. You are more than capable of juggling a wide scope of multiple high-impact, high-visibility projects. You are self-driven and take the initiative to solve problems and improve processes and procedures. You will act as the facilitator and driver of all OKRs and People team initiatives, so your ability to effectively project manage is crucial. You enable your fellow people team members by continuously improving the cyber work environment and people team operations workflows and SOP’s. This role is part of the People Leadership team and will report to the VP of People. 

Your impact

  • You are a subject matter expert when it comes to people team tooling, systems and applications, with a focus on data integrity, compliance and scalability
  • The maintenance and improvement of documentation related to people operations support and deliverables
  • Own building and maintaining the compensation data set that creates alignment between internal employees and the changing market by leveraging tools like Comp Analyst and Carta
  • Design and implement performance management systems, including goal setting, regular feedback, merit increases and performance evaluations in Lattice
  • Organize, input and own maintaining data integrity of HRIS information by understanding organizational structure and business need
  • Manage confidential and sensitive employee information with a high standard of confidentiality
  • Continuously review and validate workflows to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and ease of use with a consistent service mindset
  • Foster a positive employee experience by working to creatively solve issues and improve the employee journey end to end
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Deep experience and/or ability to learn our most used tools including Bamboo, Greenhouse, Lattice, Asana, Carta and Comp Analyst and an ability to recommend system-based solutions to deliver meaningful insights

Your experience

  • 5-7 years of professional experience in People Operations and/or Human Resources
  • Experience with compensation tools such as CompAnalyst, Carta, Radford, Paylocity, Mercer, Pave, etc
  • Experience with HR and Recruiting tools such as Greenhouse, Bamboo, Lattice, etc
  • Experience with large data sets in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel for data analysis
  • Experience owning market compensation analysis and internal employee compensation audits and reviews
  • Hands on experience driving implementations, in-depth vendor evaluations and selection and contract negotiations
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make informed recommendations
  • Strong analytical acumen and comfort in drawing metric-based conclusions by managing an extensive amount of data, including the ability to design predictive analytic insights across various tools and systems
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of developing and implementing successful people operations and total rewards strategies
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills. You have owned large scale and complex projects from concept through delivery
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • A collaborative, “lean in” attitude and approach to problem solving and working together
